Descartes Methodological Skeptism

Although that Descartes was not a skeptic he initially used skeptical doubt. He developed the method of methodological skepticism to determine if something is actually true. I think that a good way to understand this concept is too think about a dream. When someone fall asleep and essential they are dreaming, but everyone often either does not realize or believe that they are dreaming. All of their understanding tells them that what they identify as real life is valid. Since it is not, Descartes states that even the senses themselves could not always perceive the truth. He proclaims that in the end not one can solely rely on just there senses. Descartes believed that anything that can be doubted should be doubted.
